StandfastStandfast

It had been a long journey and six years since Standfast's debut album was released in 2001 on EMI. “It sure kick started our career and we got a world hit with the single “Carcrashes”, released in twenty something countries. Living out of a suitcase for a year, promoting and doing gigs. It was like being scooped up by a whirlwind, swept away, tossed around and blown to all four corners of the earth. Totally out of control. Exciting and frightening”.

“So this time around it was important to make some changes as to how we were going to make this album”, says Patrick in reference to the sophomore release, out in August of 2007.

That said and done, the duo got on a plane to Devon, England. They rented a small cottage by the sea where they sat in the garden beneath the trees, writing songs and going for long walks along the beach ending up at the local bar for a pint.
